Jeffrey Bliss

Jeff has been specializing in qualitative research for more than 12 years. His experience covers a broad range of product and service categories including health care services, pharmaceuticals, publishing, not for profit organizations, IT, education, telecommunications, and consumer packaged goods. He excels at design through analysis in applications regarding organizational practice, brand imagery, brand positioning, advertising/promotional effectiveness, and new product development.

As a social services consultant he honed his group dynamics skills in working with urban education departments and aging agencies. From this experience he has developed a unique interest in cross-generational branding issues. His distinctive blend of educational training and diverse professional experience has afforded him the opportunity to integrate the sciences of behavioral motivation with market planning and strategy.

His education includes an MSW in Group Work from the Hunter College School of Social Work and a BS (Zoology) from the University of Maryland. Mr. Bliss is co-author of Generating Community.

Kate Lytton

Kate has conducted research and analysis to meet the needs of business and non-profit clients for over 10 years. Her strengths include helping clients to clarify their research needs; research design and management; and analysis and writing. With a background in both qualitative and quantitative research, she designs research that produces actionable results to support the development of effective marketing strategies, the enhancement of products or services, and a better understanding of customer perspectives.

Kate has worked with clients in a variety of fields from international and internet business to local non-profits, on both business-to-consumer and business-to-business projects. The industries she has worked with include: communication technologies, pharmaceuticals, health care, social services, and education. She has experience in all types of research projects, including feasibility studies, consumer attitude and customer satisfaction surveys, public opinion and political polling, concept and ad testing, and evaluation research.

She brings to her research a background in health and social services, policy analysis, and political and community organizing. This experience supports her skills in conducting research to meet the needs of real-world challenges. Her education includes a BA in mathematics from Williams College, and an MS in Science and Technology Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Catherine Sands (Project Manager)

Catherine brings a depth of experience from both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors to her work. As a consultant with Green Mountain Energy Resources she was involved with developing their public outreach campaign. Catherine was Associate Director of Special Projects at the Natural Resources Defense Council, a leading non-profit environmental organization, where she produced numerous major benefit rock concerts and two advocacy campaigns for national rock tours. Artists included Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Shawn Colvin, and Robin Williams. She also produced movie premiers of Robert Redford and Rob Reiner films. Catherine also conceived several marketing ventures with green corporations and developed a line of organizational merchandise for NRDC.
